Lincolnshire Classics Car Show
Twenty-four club members displayed their cars at the first Lincolnshire Classics Show. There were over 900 vehicles on show and the Matthewson brothers (Bangers and Cash) were in attendance. Some club members had their photograph taken with them. There was also the opportunity to have three laps round a track in a rally car, if you like the thrill of speed.
It was a very successful day for the club, four new members were recruited, and the new banner and layout of the show entry forms were positively commented on.
The event is going to be repeated next year on Sunday 25th July and may be a two day event, I will keep you posted. It was a brilliant day out and highly recommended.
Gainsborough Old Hall June 2026
Clive Brown (Chair) gave Duncan Cox the honour of being voted best in show as voted for by other classic car owners.
Congratulations to member Garry Wagg
Garry's car (a Yellow MGB Roadster) was awarded Highly Commended in the Vintage Motorcar category at Market Rasen Races on Easter Sunday 5th April. He won a rosette and 2 Beer Festival Race Day tickets for Saturday 26th September. Maria also backed a winning horse. A brilliant day out.
Congratulations to Jan Butcher who was awarded the Chairman's Cup at the AGM on Sunday 8th Feb.
Jan received the cup for her hard work and dedication as the club's Treasurer and Membership Secretary.
